But Josh...

Is it awesome? Should Matt and I get it and play you and G-Lo?
P.S. This is Matt

Interrupting

Real quick, as all of these stories have been pretty good. I just got Mario Strikers Charged (doesn't really roll of the tongue well) and its the first game with Online play available. My record as of July 31st online is a solid 2-0 showing, with two 1-0 shutouts against Brett. It matches you up with someone with a similar ranking, so its pretty cool that you don't need friends to always play it. Anyway, if any of you want to play, give me a call and we can exchange friend codes. Apparently they don't use the Wii codes, but you take what you get.

Hahahaha!

Lindy's post title was her own name.
About the horrifying fluke. First I will say that Mikey's roommate, Chris, has a girlfriend, Amy. Amy is nuts. She tends to call the police and say Chris is beating her when he tries to break up with her. He's not. Well, Mikey and I were sleeping at his house; Amy and Chris were fighting at her house. Amy tried to call the police and apparently got through but Chris grabbed the phone and hung it up. Since Amy made the call from Chris' phone, they traced it to Mikey and Chris' house. So I wake up to several cops pointing their guns at us telling us to walk out of the house with our hands up because they thought I was the caller and Mikey was the beater. It was confusing. So I went and sat on the curb outside with several more cops (backup!) and they managed to wake Mikey, which I had tried but failed to do. Even while yelling "honey, it's the cops" with the cops right there, Mikey rolled over and said "no." But apparently they pushed him or something and man-handled him thinking he was my abusive lover. I helped them straighted out the story, and Mikey came outside to sit on the curb with me wearing only a sheet. Then! Chris showed up from Amy's house while they were searching the house for Chris. Chris got a DUI because he was drunk driving. Then they told Mikey and me could go back to bed. But I had to get up in 45 minutes anyway so I sat there. That's it.

Vain

I titled a post with my own name.

Also, Kim, you're probably going to have to give us more information about that horrible fluke.

Woot and Police

Yes. I would like a hike, too. No, I would love a hike.
Also, due to a horrifying fluke I woke up to 6 Boulder police with guns in my face at 5:30am.

Lindy

You may certainly make reservations chez Matt and Lindy. Couch is yours.

Also, I'm glad you picked Boulder. I probably have to step in to work from 3-6 to cover for a bartender who is playing mud volleyball. If I don't end up doing that, I'd love a hike.

Excelent achewood run...just keep scrolling

RIP

R.I.P.

to a great man

Boulder, Saturday

We will be there, then.  Sorry Meg and Logan, Willie and I decided we'd like to get to Boulder again before we leave for the hot.  I hope you can still make it.

So.  Going out?  Staying in?  A little of both?  We could hit Pearl for some mixed drinks and then head back to someone's place, where ladies can drink classy wine and boys can drink Pabst.  We might be able to get into town early enough to do a hike beforehand, too, if anyone's still interested.

P.S. Matt and Lindy, is your couch free that night?

Wow

Kim, you and achewood have brightened my day: thank you for the awesome story.

Sad and laughable all at once

So I learned yesterday that a young man with a pretty big coke problem who used to work at Mountain Sun (SUPER-indie kid, who dresses like a 70's Ken doll most of the time, including a very gay moustache, slicked and side-parted hair, and in the summer, almost constantly wears 70's gym shorts), decided to steal $15,000 from Mountain Sun by prying open the door with a crow bar and stealing the entire drawer on a couple of different nights.
Well, this guy started dating a minister's daughter and going to Bible study and what not. He ended up telling his girlfriend about taking the money. His girlfriend then starts telling her friends about the bad boy she's dating and what he did, and after a week or so, it had gotten back to a Mountain Sun employee. So, he's in jail, and will likely be in prison.
What is most important about this story is that he has a tattoo on his lower back of a unicorn and a rainbow with the word "magical." He's also not gay.

Logan lives at the Beach?

What?

Going Away

I will be so sad when you cats leave, but I will definately be at the party. My vote is the beach, because I live here and so do Willie, Cassie, and Logan. I'll go anywhere though, epecially since I missed last weekend, due to work and having to read Harry Potter.

PS-I have none of your phone numbers, with the exception of Cassie. If you don't call or text me to give me them, I will assume you do not want to be my friend and I will never talk to you again!

PPS-Not really though

Jerks!

Mikey has Saturday night off so we can both come! Woot! Of course I always prefer Boulder, but whatever is convenient for you guys is fine with me. We should have grilling activities or something. And beer olympics! And slip 'n' slide! And sparklers. Also, cake. Juice.

Excuse me, my RSVP.

I am free on Saturday next week, so that definitely works best for me. Also, Boulder is better because i have to work on Sunday morning, but if I can make the drive if I do not drink or something.

Congratulations on the house! It sounds nice.

yes!

We finally found a house in Tucson!  Its a 5 minute walk from campus, 80 years old, and has built in shelves and cabinets.  It also has an oleander tree, which I find a little bit frightening.

I would say that I want to get a fold out couch so you guys can visit and sleep comfortably, but it appears no one wants to come to our farewell party.  So maybe there won't be a fold out couch. Only unforgiving (and very nice) hardwood floor.

outdoors

Hi. What's going on tonight? Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is playing at the Boulder outdoor cinema is anyone wants to go. I'll go if you go. Call/text me.

Tell Harry Potter

that's he's drinking tap water and that the soldiers are talking

Going away party

Options are next friday night, next saturday night, in boulder or in the beach. What works best for people?

I didn't want to say anything...

I was worried Matt would be mad if he hadn't read yet, but I loved the book, too. I also felt like it had a real sense of danger and instability that none of the other six had approached. I feel pretty satisfied with the whole story, overall.

Awesome Dude

Fuck. Yes.

Fuck yeah

I hate when I talk to people who loved all the other books and hated this one. I feel like they want to hate just because its so universally loved. As if liking it is a boring response. But yeah, I definitely liked it a lot. The apparating gave it such tense feeling like someone was always right there. Its weird its over but yeah, pretty awesome. Yesterday I finished The Sopranos so its like two big sagas I've been into are over.

Last night I saw the Simpsons movie, and I'm kind of surprised but I really liked it. A lot. It was similar enough to keep it familiar and comfortable but the art and a the story was different enough to validate a movie. Also you watch it, and it immediately puts you back into the time when you were absolutely in love with the Simpsons. While I may not be nearly into the show these days, it helps you remember how awesome the show was to you at one time.

Yesssssss, FINALLY!

I finished Harry Potter last night, and it was magnificent! I loved the book, thought it had a great ending, and it sits alongside 4 and 5 as the best Harry Potter books.

Hooray!

Well yeah

I've decided to become an artist. I'm going to just think of the most ridiculous shit possible, and people will love it.

Or I'll just do this.

Damien Hirst

I don't know what I think about Damien Hirst, but he at least appears to put a lot of thought into the meaning behind his work. He pushes boundaries and people's comfort levels just like Duchamp did during the whole of the modern art movement. Duchamp is now seen as one of the most important artists of all time, not because he was an excellent craftsman but because he changed the way western culture THINKS about artwork.
Maybe Hirst is doing the same thing?

Cooler than electric floors!

Cool Cat! I hope I don't see him.

I've always thought Damien Hirst was an asshole, and this confirms it

Seriously, this is worse than the stupid $12M shark

Dustin...

I'll email you and we'll talk business.

This is awesome

This is also neat

Website and Domains

Carl, Willie and anyone else with website experience:

What is the best way/service to use to register domain names?

What are the steps I should take to make a website?

So yeah, I'm going to make a website....which considering I know little to no coding should be fun.

I have this insane idea....maybe someone with coding experience wants to join a joint venture?

Saturday night woes

Cassille will have to cancel whatever plans we had made for saturday night. The end of July means it's my brother's, my mom's, and my grandpa's birthdays, so we have to go make nice with them.

The following weekend is our last in CO, so we have to do things!

Er...

Josh wanted the truth. And speaking of yelling and Josh: update your blog!

Carl or anyone else: are there any sites that are like slashdot and digg but that aren't full of obvious bullshit stories all the time? Who are they? I really wanna know.

Good

Not sure why I didn't read the digg comments. I guess I got into the internet syndrome "yell first, research later".

Willie wants the truth

and the truth is that the site is a joke site....but it had even me fooled for awhile.

Ahem...

You read the "article" right? Or even the digg comments?

As much as a joke as slashdot is becoming, digg is still even worse.

Is This Actually Real???

Apple Stores to Start Charging $5 Fee to Enter

I'm very glad to own an iMac and from what it looks like, Apple is creeping up the charts in terms of market share. So with all their momentum and hype of the iPhone do they really want to go back to their elitist image they've had? There are so many people in the stores trying things out and talking about their new products and now its a $5 charge just to get in? Maybe I'm not seeing the big picture, or maybe it will clean up the store, but if I have to pay to go in and fix my computer that will be fucked up.

Hi All

Thanks for coming and making yesterday a fun fun time.

happenings

Cassille will be there, but maybe just a little late depending on when the Cass half can finish Harry Potter.

Hi. I RSVP

for myself and a half. Mikey may or may not be coming as he may pick up a shift. Who else is coming? Wassie? Migarl? I know Dustani is coming. Sweet.

You all have this to look forward to:

Awesome lasagna! I have made a lot of it and it should be good.

RSVPING

Matt and I will be there. We will only be late if I get out of work late, so probably we'll be on time.

Cassillie

Alaska looks beautiful yo

Alright, I should be there tomorrow. Ani might join.

Sunday Plans

Sunday be at our APARTMENT 2890 Brighton blvd @ 4pm. Bring beer and foods to grill as well as bathing suits.
See you then!

This is Matt, signing out on a Media Blackout.

I just went to King Soopers to get Harry Potter. I can't start it because I have work in the morning. From here on out I am having a media blackout until I finish the book. I'll definitely freak the fuck out if I hear anything about it from anywhere. I'd probably fight someone who says anything. Honestly, I was thinking about it earlier, and I'd punch someone in the face, no question.

Photos

I just finished uploading a small percentage of the thousand pictures we took in Alaska to Flickr.

Ha!

Bush colonoscopy

Bummer.

What exactly is the plan for Sunday?

Forgive me Lord

for I have sinned.

God damn it Willie

NO!!! We are doing this shit. Sunday. NO bitchin. We will meet at Bonnie and I's old place. And if we get pumped enough to do it minimalist style, we can move. We can even split it up guys and girls between the two places. We could have minimalist board games and pot at the hotter new location while the girls have their pool and AC. In ANY case, I am NOT letting this fall through again. You fucks are coming to Denver. Its centrally located for all involved, and it seems like everyone can do it. IT IS ON. NO DEBATING.

(This is obviously not Bonnie)

Items of Note

"Get The Soul Out"

Super Mario Bass

World War III

Getting John To Clean Up

Penny Arcade just did a comic on this. I think gaining XP may be the only way that anyone could actually get John to clean up a house. While this seems a little out of hand, I bet for a really nerdy house it could work pretty well.

Chore Wars

Harry Potter

I'll be getting the book asap, although I didn't pre-order. I just remember for book six, they ended up having stacks of them at Safeway and stuff, so I think I'm good. I'll read it quickly, for sure.

I'm fine with anything Sunday, after 330. It's my only night off this weekend, so picking a new evening is not very easy for me.

Denver happenings

Maybe we just need a new night. Ladies can then do their ladies night denver and guys can talk about their wieners into the wee hours of the morning.

Sunday Party

I was thinking: Our new place is going to be hot
At our apartment there is a pool and the Wii as well as cups and whatnot
How about having it at the pool and grilling out?

Deathly Hallows

Hell yeah, I finished the new book last night before I got hit with any more spoilers. I think I knew two things, but I ended up not even thinking about them since they were either expected or kind of inconsequential. Are any of you getting the book tonight?

Mikey is turning 25

We are going to Casabonita tomorrow night for the birthday celebration. If anyone wants to come, call me.

It is ON

Sunday it is. But seriously, bring your own fold-out chairs and shit. Minimalist daytime people's night out/in...holy BALLS this is gunna RAWK. The place is at this location. See you there.

Peoples day/night

We are in the Ted "you see, the internet is like a series of tubes" Stevens International airport in Anchorage waiting for our flight home. (But this airport has free wifi!!!) We are pretty much up for anything at anytime for the next two weeks. We're thinking that we'll need a couple of party times in the coming weeks: a trip to Denver for the Bonnandy party and a trip to Boulder for a mall crawl.

We came close to being eaten by bears, but we escaped and now you'll just have to party with us for a few more weeks. Sorry.

Wednesday Prose

Sean (my musical collaborator) has written an essay on piracy that I think you all will enjoy.
I was looking at that earlier. Obviously they remove wrinkles and blemishes, but look at her arms. They make them so skinny. I always liked that youtube Dove commercial where they made that girl up and photoshopped her.

What exactly can you do with Photoshop?

Now You Know

Good Call

I am available after 330 Sunday, so that should be fun. Besides, it's summer, shouldn't we enjoy the sunshine a little? Maybe we could make it a potluck thing, everybody bring some foods? And then we will eat and sample the foods while we play Wii in the sunshine.

Aren't Cassie and Willie returning soon, too? I hope they were not eaten by bears or anything. You people and your northern adventures.

Hmmm

How about instead of people's NIGHT out, we do people's DAY in, and celebrate in a manner the good lord intended. Also, the relatives that were involved in stripping were from Oklahoma and were not in Wisconsin while we were there, but Bonnie did drink a fair amount of Old Style.

For me

Sunday is the best day, as I am working both Friday and Saturday nights. Then again, I have lab at 730 am on Monday, so maybe no day is good for me because I hate fun!

I hope that Bonnie has not turned into a man who drinks only Milwaukee's best while wearing flannel and talking about male stripping.

Returned

Bonnie and I are back, and I have a few stories to tell, but I'm too busy to type them out now. I would rather tell them in PERSON to some of you. People's night in/out this weekend? Is Sunday the best day? Is Denver the best place? I want to start discussions on this. Recall that we have an empty house in downtown Denver that can be equipped with a minimalist Wii set up which I think would be really awesome. People could bring lawn chairs...INSIDE!!!

Monday, July 16, 2007

Okay Ladies' Night. When?

Also, it really was John's birthday yesterday.
Super.

Sunday, July 15, 2007

please!

We have not had a true Ladies' Night in a year! Not since Gloria left and Kim peed in the street! However, Cassie will be leaving for Arizona soon, and I'm already gone away and I am very sad. We need a ladies' night to catch up one last time about being married, having a new boyfriend, feeding Mikey through a straw, living in the Beach, and other various menstual cycle-related topics before it's too late!!

Also

Facebook tells us that today is John's birthday. Happy birthday, John! If it is your real birthday.
I wish you were here to go to Khow Thai with moi.

booooored

I have the evening off, and Matt is out of town. I want company! Does anyone else want company? If so, please call me and we will be companions.

Oh the French

Lindy, I'm so happy to see that you, too, love Bastille Day. I forced Mikey to have a Bastille Day BBQ with just him and me. Well, we were BBQing anyway, but I forced him to acknowledge that it was in celebration of Bastille Day. Then! We went and saw Labyrinth at the outdoor cinema. I had no idea how much LSD is necessary to understand that film. Of course I didn't eat any LSD and I don't do that, but I imagine if you did, Labyrinth would make so much sense!

Finally, ladies night is so sad anymore. I'm down if people want to do it, but really, we have not had a real ladies' night in 4 billion months.

Ladies' Night

Are we ever having one? When is Cassie back? I miss y'all!

Saturday, July 14, 2007

It's Bastille Day!

Eat a croissant, use up your extra fireworks and think of the French and their independence!

Holy cow! I am so happy that I found Big Love. I just rented the first season on DVD and watched it in 3 days and I am more excited that Mikey has the 2nd season On Demand! Wowie. I don't want a 4th wife.

Boulder

Over the years, Boulder and I have had our differences, yes it's true. But the more time I spend here the more I grow to appreciate the place, especially when I get out of Colorado and head elsewhere.

Of course, now that I have met a bunch of new people from Boulder itself which have been awesome, this helps the image.

This list about sums up the conclusions I've come to:

Impressive.

Now if Boulder could just get its real-estate situation in line, we'd be money.

Also: 200th post. Yah Boulder, and Yah Colorado

A little too late; still decent

No question best YouTube video of the day.

"Woo! Woo!"

Monday, July 9, 2007

I have Tuesday and Sunday nights off this week. My expectation is that by Sunday I may have some homework to do, but I'll try to be diligent during the week and stay on top of it. Maybe we can do dinner tomorrow night (Tuesday)?

Hello.

I am excited, for this Sunday Mikey and I are going to the *FREE* Shakespeare in the park at Skyline Park in Denver. They will be performing Much Ado About Nothing. Wouldn't it be fun if others of you came and we had a picnic? Also, I think we're going to see Labyrinth (remember? David Bowie? Jennifer Connelly?) at the Boulder Outdoor Cinema on Saturday. Others should also come!
Lindy, what days/nights do you have off this week?

Movie

You certainly were furious about it. I'm going to see the band Harry and the Potters tommorrow. Apparantly they're great but everyone really wants Draco and the Malfoys. My favorite song title of their's is "My dad is rich and your dad is dead".
Not me! I was so angry about the last one that I thought I was going to kill someone. Although this one has a different writer, I still don't have particularly high hopes. I want the last book!
Harry Potter! Is anyone else a huge nerd like me and extremely excited about the movie?!

Wootie Woot woot

I saw fire flies for the first time last night.....they are adorable if you don't look too closely. I loved them so much in fact that I squished one right on my ankle. It was disgusting and not on purpose.
Drew and I are in Wisconsin and it is humid, also there were like 45 people in the house last night.
I bought a salt shaker and an awesome vintage dress.
I have no blog of my own so you all were tricked into reading this when it is boring as hell.
Maybe Willie and Cassie are being eaten by bears?

First Fridays

I'll be there in all my Yelp marketing glory. You should be too

wha?

Everyone is so quiet now.

later, alligators

We're off to Alaska!  Back in two weeks, ladies night/guys night out after that...if we can convince ourselves to come back home.

My 2 cents, which are 80 dollars after exchange rates

(This is Dice once again because I'm too lazy to find my loggin and Bonnie's is saved on this computer)

You are both pigeon holing the other in this "debate". One thinks that Moore is kinda a badass, one thinks he's kinda a blowhard. Does that about sum it up? I don't think we need to start attacking not using our college-degree minds or claim that criticizing your own camp, as it were, is equivalent to putting Bush in power. Moore creates sensational documentaries that fire people up on both sides. Anything wrong with that? I guess not, but with his platform, there's no doubt that he could do things a little more...tactfully and accurately...but then would he have the platform at all? Anywho, that's just jaded ol' me. (The tactful part is why I don't like Olberman's show so much, I'll take Colbert's parody any day over that) My point is: cut out the venom on something so silly as Moore. Save that for something important like someone not getting a seat for your girl at a poker game and put your anger up for display on the internet for years.

Oh, my condo: pwnd. I like it so much that I (with Bonnie) will be traveling miles away from it to Wisconsin and Chicago right after buying it. Once I get back (weekend after next) when shall the Denver guys/girls night out take place? I leave this to you all to figure out while I'm gone.

Open your fucking eyes

I will agree with you that the one thing that Moore has going for him is that he carefully checks his facts before he twists them backwards to support his argument, whereas Limbaugh and others flat out make shit up. Read my fucking post again. Never once did I say or even suggest that Moore made up his facts. All I said is that they should be taken with a grain of salt and you should realize that you can make statistics say anything you want. Is the health care system in this country fucked up? Yeah. Is the "war on terror" fucked up? Yes. Is the war in Iraq a joke? No shit. None of this changes the fact that Michael Moore is a tool. Fuck, maybe I'm even wrong about that being bad. Maybe America needs someone just screaming at them to wake up. Once you're awake though, you should be looking somewhere else for answers and solutions to the world's problems, far, far away from Moore on the intellectual spectrum. I think with college degrees we should be able to start to find those solutions without Moore's help. Spending two hours reading papers on the American health care system and those from around the world will surely give you much more knowledge and insight than spending two hours watching Michael Moore. Is it harder to read papers and learn something than to watch a movie you already agree with and get angry? Yeah. Is it worth it to do the hard thing? Without a doubt.

And on a more personal note: fuck you. It is not "my attitude" that let Bush win a second term. Politically, you're a moron if you seriously believe that shit. I don't think you do, though. I thought all shit you did for the center made you realize that issues aren't so black and white and people on the "other side" are, for the most part, just people with different opinions (granted, sometimes not well educated opinions), but people nonetheless. Limbaugh, O'Reilly, Cheney - I have my doubts about them, but for the most part, the other side are still people and you'll never convince them of your opinions until you recognize that basic fact. People come from all walks of life, many very different from our own. Understanding what makes them tick gives you the upper hand over them. Michael Moore doesn't try to understand people with different opinions, so he's never going to get any farther than simply drawing attention to issues - exactly like O'Reilly, Limbaugh, and those fucks. That is all I'm trying to say.

Eat Moore Dicks.

Seriously, I've had enough with liberals saying that Moore isn't better than O'Reilly and shit. Open your eyes. To compare Moore to O'Reilly and especially Limbaugh is just retarded. Stupid White Men wasn't that great, to be sure. I didn't even finish it. But when has he made up information? Just because he is trying to push his view doesn't make him an asshole or a tool. Is Olbermann a tool? You can't sit in the corner and keep saying that both sides should be heard while at the same time lambasting liberals and Democrats for being pussies. I'll agree that Moore's stuff is predominantly one-sided, but what is the rational argument from the other side? Please, if you will, present the counter-argument to Fahrenheit 9/11. It is your kind of attitude that let Bush win a second term (in addition to stealing a bunch of votes of course). Should we have Michael Moore ride onto Letterman on a motorcycle, or have a bunch of photos of him in church? Maybe his next movie could be about how awesome the health care system is. How it works fantastically well. Or something lauding the positive aspects of Bush, and all the good he has done.

There is nothing wrong with expressing your point of view in a factual manner! If it came out that Moore made a bunch of shit up, then yes, he could be categorized with with the fucks you mentioned earlier. Until that time, though, it is you who needs to grow up.

In summation, Michael Moore is awesome, and you are the tool, sir.

Michael Moore

I'm sure I'll eventually go see Sicko and come out enraged and maybe wonder if this is just too much bullshit to put up with from our country. But then I'll remember that Michael Moore is just as much of an asshole/tool/etc as Bill O'Reilly, Rush Limbaugh and the like, so the things that he says should be taken with an equally large grain of salt and examined with equal scrutiny. Just because we all happen to agree with most of his policies doesn't make him good all of a sudden. I mean, have you ever read Stupid White Men? It's a joke. The guy writes like a third grader and has the monovision of one too. There are two legitimate sides to most every major issue in American politics and if one can't acknowledge that then it's much, much harder, if not impossible, to convince someone that they should support your side.

Politics on the fourth!

One more, from Huffington Post (Thanks for website, D)

That may have answered my questions about the Libby move.

Headsup

An excellent website

!!!!

Holy Shit!!

I didn't realize how much of a bad-ass Kieth Obermann is.

Scooter Libby is a tool and should be punished like a tool: his sentence length seemed fine to me. He is an agent with free-will like anyone else: the 'just following orders' defense is no defense at all. Naturally, the higher ups should be punished accordingly to their level of responsibility: longer sentences with a bigger loss of reputation. The fact that they will never get sentences just shows that power trumps justice in this country. I suppose in a better world they would be made as punishment to try and fix what they have done, but undermining the justice system is so far-reaching in its negative effects I can't even imagine what that would be.

Also: Sicko was incredible. No, seriously....I was blown away. 10/10. I think this might actually be the movie that has finally pushed me over the edge: I will in the next 5-10 years become an ex-patriot.

Fuck the system, fuck sickness, fuck pain, and seriously, fuck you El Presidente.

Patriotism!

I just read this transcription of Keith Olbermann's piece about Bush commuting Libby's sentence, and I thought you all might appreciate it.

I also listened to Talk of the Nation today, while they were discussing this. Some people seemed to think that this was a sort of pussy move, when he should have just pardoned the guy. Others seemed to think that it was a flagrant disregard of the judicial system. I don't know exactly where I stand- one guest brought up a good point, that Dep Sec Armitage was basically already known to be the one who leaked Plame's CIA status when Libby perjured himself, in which case it looks like they found someone to convict and make an example of. Inasmuch as I recognize the value of an example, I don't think it's ever fair to sacrifice someone in a legal lynching to get the point across to others.

Or is he the kind of example where they prosecuted him in order to distract the nation's attention from bigger fish with bigger sins? I don't know. I'd be interested to hear what you all think about it, if you have an opinion one way or the other. Or even to hear what you think about Olbermann's piece, which I thought was really interesting and well constructed.

Looking for something to do in the Springs?

Tonight and tomorrow night there is Elite racing at the velo in Memorial Park. Bring a cooler, inconspicuously get sloshed, cheer, scream, watch me go fast, make a date out of it, whateves.

Check the blog, suhrtheblur.com!

Tomorrow

indeed meant tomorrow, so that is going on TONIGHT.

Also,

Dustin, what does invalid couple mean?

Optimus Prime!

Holy shit. Has anyone seen the Transformers movie yet? I just got back. It blew my mind. It was so good! And Carl, you should see it because the super hot girl in it looks exactly like a young Jennifer Connelly. Holy shit. It was so good. I love Transformers. I want a yellow Camaro.

Drew

First off, I think I know what channel you are talking about, and yes it rocks

And second off, I'm pretty sure I listened to 'Pulse' when I was on acid....AND IT WAS AMAZING. So you can now stfu, tyvm.

100% pure love baby

Anyway, by tomorrow you mean July 4th? I might be there...my mom is in town though so this I'm unsure.

In response to Bonnie's question, Ani is totally fucked..worse than me even. I will write about this in my blog when I feel like talking about it more: I'm pretty worried about it.

In conclusion: Ani + Dustin = invalid couple
and acid + techno or 80's dance music = ?!

yes.

Willie and I are in the Springs, Meg.  We should do something.  However, that something will have to be coordinated with a lot of packing and planning that we still have to do for Alaska, so...maybe something tomorrow night?  I'll call you.

This is actually Dice

Ok, so I have really poured it on about the Network Hi Def channels I get over the air (with dolby surround sound) but I also get a handful of additional channels I don't get on cable, or at least slightly different programs than on the cable providers. For instance, I got to watch an episode of "International Fight League" (UFC type stuff) in HD which I've never been able to see before because its always on during the day when I'm at work. Also, I get this music video station that absolutely rawks. These songs were all played in order: The Doors, Touch Me (live); Depeche Mode, Personal Jesus; The Racounteurs, Steady; Eric Clapton, I Shot the Sherriff (live); Duran Duran, Wild Boys; The Killers, (I forget what song); John Lennon, Come Together (live); Moody Blues, Tuesday Afternoon (live). What is strange is that this music was broken by an ad for a compilation CD called "Pulse" which was the total, craptacular, polar opposite of what was playing previously. Uh oh, Heart...I rebuke her offer to get crazy on me...time to go back to HD network.

Also, my apartment is havin some sorta party on the roof tomorrow night. Live music, food, and good view of fireworks at Coors Field. Carl and Shawn are already there. You can be TOO!!!

Oh, and by 1:00 tomorrow team BonnieDrew should have purchased a condo...but that is still not as cool as my HD tv, I don't think...apart from the fact I think my reception will get even BETTER there!!!

OMG, THEY BUILT THIS CITY ON ROCK AND ROLL!!!!! No FUCKING WAY!!!?! This is the best station imaginable (unless it also had the Cubs on it) ..I take it back "Hey-o, listen what I say-o" just started.

Cat Scratch Fever!

This is so hilarious to me.

More What I Meant

Was that it seems counter intuitive that bunny ears would be better than a direct cable to the back of your TV. After the explanation it makes sense, but I was really surprised to hear that an antenna is the way to go.

For Josh

How is that counter intuitive at all? When bandwidth becomes an issue, then it becomes a sampling problem for HD (all those digital pixels take up room). You can cram a shit ton of stuff without aliasing problems into the high-frequency bands...but the signal dies off obviously with distance. So like ya said, if yer close, over air signals RAWK!!!

HD with Antenna

I have a EE friend here who works solely with TV's and more specifically, higher end monitors and HD TV's. He was telling me that the best HD Signal, so long as you are relatively near the station is broadcast, not HD over cable. He was explaining how with Cable, their bandwidth is really restricted. Especially because they may have to cram both the HD station and the normal station inside the same frequency (or so he explained to me). Anyway, I've heard it elsewhere too. Does that seem counter-intuitive to anyone else?

Cassie and Willie

Are you in the Springs? We should hang out before you head off to Alaska! My phone lost your phone numbers, you should call me!

Neatness

This weekend I finally spent the time to get my high-def over-air antenna stuff going...and it is in-cred-i-blawesome. It makes watching GOLF on TV....WATCHABLE!!! ...and ITS FREE!!! Only bought a $35 antenna.

The great outdoors

may contain (but not limited to) the following biting and venomous creatures: ants, spiders, snakes, beetles, flies, and yes, mosquitos. Hydrocortisone cream is the answer you're looking for.

I itch EVERYWHERE

Is anyone else a lumpy mass of West Nile from the night in Longmont?
It sucks, seriously.
How is Anni doing?

My blog?

I updated it, but it isn't appearing on the sidebar. I found Carl's explanation:
Dustin: The reason that your posts aren't appearing right away is because the XML feed has to be created by your blog (probably on some schedule), then polled by this blog (on some other schedule). It takes too many system resources to do this at this scale so often that it appears seamless, and so there's some lag between publishing, XML creation, XML polling, and data parsing. Think of it like the postal service (the actual service, not the band).

So does this mean it'll show up eventually? It's been a couple of hours now. Do I have to do anything to my blog?

Edit: 4:17 p.m.

It is up now. Alright.

Dear Dustin
