Novels

Well, lots of novels maybe even most novels suck assholes. I already feel like an old lady (I will be 26! this year of our lord after all) and it is stupid to waste my life reading bad books.
What of it bitch? You wanna fight?

What I am up to.

Coming back to the States! this is a marked departure from ¨not being in the States¨but I like to shake things up. The actual reasons are more than I want to get into right now (the room I´m in is hot and I don´t feel like making a new post), but I can give you all the rough overview of what my next adventure is.

I´ve decided to go on a massive road trip all across the US. I am going to be visiting everyone that I know, which means you!, and it is going to be utterly fantastic. That´s it for now. I´m back next week, and after a week or two, I´m out, suckas!

Everyone is loved be me.

Wow again

Did you guys see how long some of their legs were? They looked like people legs, with lil pigeon bodies.

That said, do you remember the Goodfeathers from Animaniacs? And the Godpigeon? "We like to sit on Scorsese's head"

Wow

I think that selective breeding results in some very funky stuff. Funky chickens, funky pigeons, funky dogs. Isn't it weird?

I liked the pigeon with the poofy pants on.

Uh

Why would you say something like "I'd almost given up on novels"?

Hahaha White People

We are so funny, we white people.
I have been super f-ing sick and it sucks.
Matt? What are you doing?
John...where are you?

I started reading Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez and it is beautiful. I had almost given up on novels.

Also, if you want a good read try Pigeons by Andrew Blechman.

To get you interested look at these pigeons:

Super Colon to the rescue

I got this in my school's weekly news email:

"The Super Colon, an 8-foot-tall, 20-foot-long replica of a human colon, is headed to the Arizona Cancer Center next week in recognition of National Colorectal Awareness Month. The exhibit has been on display in cities across the country."

RISK!!!!

So I started an 8 player game yesterday...at the start of round 2 I had already gotten 5 armies for controlling Europe...EUROPE!!!?! God damn man, if I don't win this one I will cry. What is odd is that I'm more pumped about this than the 60 bucks I won playing poker today. Come on team, let's get a game started.

Thursday, February 14, 2008

Check this out!

Oh man is this awesome!

RISK

I'm now down to one game left, so I started an 8 man game. If anyone cares to join, its game 1818391...but I'll set something up this weekend for all 4 of us later.

Just remember "There is no losers in this category, Kanye"

As Usher put it at the end of the Grammys.

And earlier Vince Gill states “I just had an award given to me by a Beatle. Have you had that happen yet, Kanye?” BURN.

That shit made my night.

Don't scratch the Grammy!

Lost update

Here's the update

Mostly good news.

As for Obama being the anti-christ...apart from the bible not being a piece of non-fiction, I'm curious as to what additional characteristics Obama shares with him that someone like, say, me, does not...apart from the fact hes a world leader. Does he have a goat-legged friend that performs miracles with feats of fire? Does he have multiple heads all wearing crowns, one of which is injured and one of which has been resurrected? (Some of these might not be accurate, been a while since I browsed through Revelations)

And the Mega-man Chocolate Rain remix video was very very well done. I saw that one a while ago. Good pick.

Eclipse Series!!!!

The Criterion Collection started a new DVD series. That's fucking awesome... I love those guys. And now I can start on the first spine number. I just came a little bit.

http://www.criterion.com/eclipse/

Satan

Of course he's the anti-christ.... he's black and wresting control of this nation from the white man, whom Jesus chose to run the world in his holy image.

Tuesday, February 12, 2008

Did you ever think about

how if the world ends in 2012 that Obama could be the anti-Christ? I mean, he has lots of anti-Christ qualities. It's weird. Of course I don't really believe this and now I just sound crazy. Therapy might make me crazier?

The Potomac

Damn... Hillary got FUCKED UP tonight. She didn't even carry the female votes. That's painful.

Obama and Rap

Obama has taken the lead!!! And he might win all the states tonight if he can hold it!!!

For those that have not seen a normal rap video here is your chance:

And the follow up:

And if you have not perused the remixes of "Chocolate Rain" this is by far the best one:

KIM, KIM, DICE, AND DUSTIN

Pressure

I hope I never have the pressure of knowing that somebody's dying wish was to help me out...

http://www.legacy.com/dailyprogress/Obituaries.asp?Page=Lifestory&PersonId=103181529

Mitchell Van Yahres, a former member of the Virginia House of Delegates, who died Friday, February 8, 2008, in Charlottesville, aged 81, tended trees for a living and people for a lifetime. His abiding interest in the welfare of his community led him, successfully, to seek election in 1968 as a member of Charlottesville City Council and he so remained until 1976.

...

Van Yahres is survived by his wife, Betty; his three sons, Mike, Mark, and Keith; two daughters, Beth Nave and Laura, and their spouses, Peggy, Elizabeth and Bryan Nave; as well as 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

His friends, who nearly included everyone who met him, are asked, in lieu of expenditures on flowers and the like, to make a healthy and significant contribution to the presidential campaign of Barack Obama or, if they insist, the charity of their choice.

IT WAS YOUR BIRTHDAY YESTERDAY! Just so you know. Happy birthday. You and I are now the same age.

Query:

Does anybody want me to keep them up to speed on what I'm up to over here? I'd imagine not, since that shit gets old. I think I'll make infrequent updates on here as I feel like it, and then you can ignore or read them at your leisure. However, if you do want to talk, then you should really send me an email. I don't want to get email/writing fatigue like I did when I was in Tokyo, so if you want to talk or anything, then send me an email, otherwise I might not get around to talking to you. Not because I don't love you, but because I love too much.

Anyways, I love you and if You'd like that personalized, send me an email and I'll respond at some point.

WILLIE

IT WAS YOUR BIRTHDAY YESTERDAY! Just so you know. Happy birthday. You and I will never be the same age.

Risk Stuff

Well currently I can't start a new game because I found out 4 is the most you can play at once without paying money. Also, you cannot set up a password thing without paying money...so we will have to coordinate a game start time all at once because these fuckers move fast on snaking my game set ups. We could either do a speed game which is 5 minutes a move a believe...or we could do a move every 24 hours...which I think would be really cool. For those long games there are two different ways to play it. One is to have everyone move sequentially...so it could talk around a week for just one round of moves...or they have a popular set up called "freestyle". In freestyle anyone can move at anytime during a round. This changes the strategy a little...and also gives an advantage to the person that is hanging around their internet all day waiting for the last person to move so they can wipe out someone first and get all their cards and take over Asia in one turn (this actually happened in one of my games that I thought was all but mine after I took Europe in 4 rounds...now it's an interesting three-way fight...I was bitching to Dustin about this game at the movies) Anyways, I vote for freestyle, but lemme know.

Two things. NO Country for Old Men was amazing...and google "Pandora Radio" Trust me, its the shit.

Risk Game

I'm signed up now. There's no password type deal?

Anyway, how is this going to be played? Casually over days or like quickly. Are people going to be pissed if someone goes slow, as in like one turn a day or is that the idea?

In Costa Rica

I'm here and safe and having a nice time for just getting in. I met a guy named Juan Carlos through couchsurfing.com and he is a badass. Since I'm incredibly wiped I"m going to keep this short and tell you what I told lindy. More to follow later. I love you all.

Juan carlos got me from the airport and we rode a bus to his place, which was really cool. It was strange because we were kind of in the city already at the airport, and the bus just chugged through more city and we were suddenly at the right stop (after a little bit of confusion). It was all confusing, and I know that I am going to get lost somewhat, but it'll be okay because it is all so cool and manageable (taxis can releive me of the pressure of figuring out which stop is which). But yeah, Juan Carlos is great. Pretty much since we sat down in the bus we talked politics. We get upset about the same things, and we had some really good conversations about the similarities and differences between Costa Rican politics and American politics. They're doing CAFTA down here, and it totally blows because it is doing the same thing that NAFTA did and is selling out the locals in favor of mega businesses--largely American. He lives with his girlfriend who is so nice! We got Imperial (the national beer which is very tasty) and chicharones and sat at their place and just talked and talked. I am having a nice time, they are nice people, and they have computers and internet, which is nice.

Night! I need to get to bed. Keep on tuckin', America.

I got really mad when I read this

I guess when you have said outrageous things for 7 years, might as well stay true to form.

Why greed

has fucked up our economy

Risk

I made a game for three players.

Game 1766384. Join before some other dicks join it.

EDIT: Some other dicks joined it immediately. We will have to time this stuff over the phone.

Shit! I forgot to mention

I'm leaving early Friday morning. I'm heading to Costa Rica, and from there I'm going to parts unknown--I'll follow adventure.

I guess I'll see you all when I get back on April 22nd. Sorry for the short notice to everyone. I've been spacey lately with the arrangements and all. I'll keep up on this to a certain extent, and I'll be in email contact for the real.

But for right now, it is time to sleep!

I'm totally down for online Risk

alright I'm signed up as dlite

Also, if you didn't go to the caucas tonight you are laaaaaaaaaaaaaame.

Ani and I went and it was a zoo....interesting though: it's cool being around dems who are really fired up. In our small precinct, we were the only Kucinich people and since he wasn't a viable candidate we had to choose between Hilary and Obama. I was the last undecided who chose Obama, and the 100 Obama people went crazy with applause, which was hilarious.

woot

HEY

I say we sign up.

A pretty cool article

woah

And to Willie

I agree. He may irk those who are particularly fundamentalist, but ever Republican should be rushing to get behind McCain because he's their only hope of getting in and slowing their plummet into humiliation. Beyond the presidential race, there are like 20 representatives retiring on their side and only a few Dems, and we have several million dollars more for campaigning in those elections. I guess I'm somewhat happy that they're so blindly insane that they won't stop themselves from running straight off a cliff. I suppose we can at least thank Bush for decimating their party's support other than the far right Christians of Colorado Springs. God love the Beach.

Good God

How does the UFC operate legally? That guy was FUCKED UP.

A fountain

I don't know what kind of wish one would want to make on this fountain...

(check out the last 4 images)

McCain

Why do conservatives hate this guy so much? All I seem to come up with is that he's *slightly* less insane on immigration and abortion. He's still pretty damn conservative on even those issues though. I get that he's not on the best of terms with Falwall and co., but christ, if you're Ann Coulter you still have to vote for him over a democrat. Obama/Clinton or Clinton/Obama would destroy all the other potential nominees, but McCain could potentially leverage the national security inclined white male vote enough to beat them.

Coulter

Apparently if the general election is between Hillary and McCain, Anne Coulter is going to campaign for Clinton. I can't decide if she's dumb enough to think that would help defeat McCain or she's smart enough to know that a lot of liberals will think twice about voting for somebody she supports.

Gambit + Holloway = Fantastic

But last I heard he was the front runner to play Thor. Gambit would be a much better fit, I think. Of course, it'll be a miracle if X-Men 4 is any good, so we'll see how it goes.

Lost premiere was good, not great, but did anyone recognize the guy at the end? I didn't recognize him, and if he was a nobody then it was a pretty weak ending.

Also: I think the death pool is rapidly becoming moot, since death is getting all wishy-washy on the island. That being said, I'd guess that Sawyer is going to be the next one to have his heart stop beating. Someone has to bite it and come back for everyone to see. But of course, we don't know who is and isn't able to "come back" and we don't even really know what it means. If someone dies and comes back, does the pool winner have to give back the dollars?

Rally Josh?

I think Juliet is a pretty good pick myself...an Ben is getting awfully third wheelish with Locke taking over.

Man This is Fucked

We can complain all we want, but holy shit I can't think of anything this horrible happening in America in my memory.

Damnit, for some reason I thought you said main characters of Lost. I was racking my brain between these characters thinking who was going to bite it. Now that I know I was wrong I'm definitely feeling like Karl is a solid bet. I'll stand by my pick, but I have a strong feeling Gloria and I have slim odds.

Things and whatnot

Pretty cool about making the paper, Logan. Makes you sound like a hardcore mf, too.

Lost was neato. And here are the pool entries:

Me: Bernard
Dustin: Karl
Bonnie: Sayid
Kim: Rousseau
Gloria: Ben
Josh: Juliet
